*Children are welcome to attend the workshop - we will have a small play area set up for them to enjoy, so you can focus and learn!

- Expert Guidance: Led by Sonja Martin of Lavender Winged Support Services, a behavioral consultant and parent educator with over 30 years of experience working with children.

- Practical Tips and Resources: Learn practical information for getting started, including readiness skills, the importance of timing, planning, and follow-through. Discover the essentials for making your bathroom potty-friendly and creating a consistent routine.

- Mindful Approach: Incorporate mindfulness into toilet training. Understand how to give nonjudgmental attention to your child's experiences and needs during this process.

- Emotional Support: Receive guidance on managing your own emotions and supporting your child’s feelings. Learn how to handle setbacks with patience and positivity!

- Interactive Elements: Participate in discussions and activities designed to make the process engaging and fun for both you and your child.

What You’ll Learn:

- Recognize signs of readiness, such as expressing the need to go, showing curiosity about toilets, and having dry spells for at least three hours.

- Use simple praise and matter-of-fact directions for accidents, ensuring no punishment is involved.

- Create a child-friendly bathroom environment with easy-to-use tools like smaller potty seats, stools, and accessible hand-washing supplies.

- Establish a regular toilet routine and use creative, child-specific rewards.

- Address potential challenges like nighttime control, fear of flushing, and the psychological readiness of your child.
